positive - proven - leader
I have been a resident of Livonia for over 50 years. I am a proud graduate of Stevenson High School, having attended Tyler Elementary and Bryant Junior High. My husband Doug and I have been married for 43.5 years. We chose to purchase my childhood home from my mom to raise our family there, and we still live there today. We are the proud parents of three who also graduated from Stevenson High School, having attended Tyler Elementary and Holmes Middle School. Our son Steve and his wife Laura have 2 children. Our son Jon and his wife Jen have 3 children. Our daughter Krysta Leigh and her husband James have 2 children.
I have over 23 years of critical decision-making in the administration of day-to-day functions, in the public sector, as well as higher level decisions made as a Department Head. As a member of the City Leadership Team, I always represent the city with the upmost professional demeanor. Working with residents and businesses during my time as Treasurer, on the City Council, Planning Commission, and Brownfield Development Authority gives me a unique understanding of the needs of the city, its residents, and its businesses. My past tenure on the Livonia School Board, my service on the Livonia PTSA Council and the LPS Education Foundation Board has also helped develop my leadership skills and given me insight into community and family needs.
